PartyGaming, online poker operation, announced it was going to launch an upgraded service. It had agreed to pay $14.5 million (8.3 million pounds) cash for Multipoker. It is going to buy most of IntertopsPoker for $4 million cash as reported. In that way 300,000 players are added to PartyGaming's, PartyPoker Web site. But the thing that matters here is not that. The 2 deals will give the company access to Multipoker's Scandinavian clientele. In accordance to that PartyGaming's shares were up 1.6% to 93 pence, valuing the group at around 3.7 billion pounds. Richard Segal, PartyGaming Chief Executive, stated that they were looking forward to the launch of the Party-branded integrated platform in the first half of 2006.
