Annual Casino Night At Wilkes University Author: Texas Hold Em Wilkes University held its annual casino night. It was hosted in the Henry Student Center Ballroom on November 11, 2005. The ballroom was transformed in the spirit of a Las Vegas casino- it looked and felt like one. Everything from game tables to gambling chips and music was available and set in tune. The event was sponsored by Student Government (SG). It has been a tradition at Wilkes since the mid 90's. During casino night many games were offered -black jack, Texas hold 'em poker, roulette. Texas hold 'em poker tournament's winner is Jake Mancuso. He was awarded an XBOX. 2nd place finisher (Kevin Coughlin) won an i Pod. third place winner Brandon Ingram won a $50 gift certificate. Until the end of the night students could play for many prizes, including an ipod nano, digital camera, television set. The grand prize as usual was a trip to New York City to see Rent. The award was won by sophomore pre-pharmacy major Christine Corser.  [back]
